HEARTDISEASEFor many people living in the civilized western world (USA and Europe) the most common health problem is referred to as “metabolic syndrome”. This definition is the name that refers to a condition that encompasses several risk factors which lead to diabetes, then to cardiovascular disease (clots are forming in the arteries and the rupture of these clots is the most common way heart attacks and stroke occur) and finally even to Cancer.  

These risk factors are:

  • Insuline resistance
  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • Hyperglycemia (lelevated sugar blood counts
  • Dyslipidemia (excess fat in the blood) characterised by elevated quantity of BAD  cholesterol (LDL) with elevated quantites of B-type particles, low level of GOOD cholesterol (HDL)

It is estimated that more than 45 million Americans have this disorder, which is strongly associated with cardiovascular risk. It is also growing among children at a rapid rate.

We know that the metabolic syndrome is associated with three things:

  • Eating a diet high in sugar and refined carbohydrates
  • Having a magnesium deficiency
  • Being exposed to MSG (and other food excitotoxin additives) early in life

In fact, all three are metabolically related.

In essence, a high intake of sugar and refined carbohydrates alters the metabolism of a number of lipids which leads to heart disease, atherosclerosis, and diabetes. Too much insulin, it turns out, is very harmful.

Processed foods are high in excitotoxin additives and sugar, and each is a major player in atherosclerosis. The most massive increase in sugar consumption involves two very harmful forms of sugar: sucrose and high-fructose corn syrup (called HFCS-55).

Within tissues and organs, sugar in excess amounts interacts with proteins and amino acids by a chemical process called glycation. Over time they form even more complex chemicals called advanced glycation end products, also called AGEs.

In fact, diabetics form huge amounts of these destructive products, which are measured by a test called hemoglobin A1c. People with Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease also have high levels of AGEs in the affected parts of their brains.

These AGEs generate a great number of free radicals and lipid peroxidation products that damage surrounding cells and tissues. In addition, they can become very sticky and gum up cell mechanisms (a reaction called cross-linking).

I bet: You or someone of your family make use of  pain relievers products like Aleve, Celebrex, Advil, Daypro, and Naprosyn, also called NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal-Anti-inflamatory-Drugs) so please listen carefully to this: 

the FDA is finally admitting now that your life is in danger! And is now requiring manufacturers of non-aspirin products, the NSAIDs, to clearly disclose their heart attack and stroke risks on the packaging of these common painkillers.

But it has been known for a while how these drugs are NOT safe!!!

There are studies that show their risk of heart attack, stroke, and sudden death. And it doesn’t take years of taking them to see their side effects. It’s disgusting that drug companies are still willing to risk people’s health in order to defend their killer products. They unscrupulously continue to release statements about how “safe” their products are.

Other killer drugs are the BETA BLOCKERS. These are blood pressure drugs like Atenolol, Lopressor, Metoprolol (almost any drug ending in “olol”) which cardiologists love to put everyone on.  But Beta Blocker they tend to make people fatigued, slow down your metabolism and can bring on asthma attacks.

What about anxiety and depression medications? This class of drugs, which include Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Cymbalta, etc., not only they mess your brain chemistry, they wreak havoc on your metabolism. SUGAR1. FIRST, and above all, HAVE NO SUGARS  of any kind, whatsoever, refined white or brown, natural (except a little raw honey) or synthetic (sweeteners), especially these.

Perhaps this is the single most important life-saving recommendation if anything else is neglected.  

Be careful, sugar ( mainly in the form of fructose or high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is ubiquitous and hides in all the common foods  people consume on a daily basis, such as sodas, fruit juices, candies,  ice cream,  almost all processed foods, including breads, meats, and even popular condiments like Worcestershire sauce and ketchup.

Sugar is toxic, addicting and deadly. It is the most damaging substances that you can ingest

Some of the effects that consuming too much sugar has on your health:

  • It overloads and damages your liver. Same effect of alcohol. Leading to potential liver damage.
  • It tricks your body into gaining weight and affects your insulin and leptin signaling. This causes you to eat more and develop insulin resistance
  • It causes metabolic dysfunction. A barrage of symptoms known as classic metabolic syndrome (weight gain, abdominal obesity, decreased HDL and increased LDL, elevated blood sugar, elevated triglycerides, and high blood pressure.
  • It increases your uric acid levels. A risk factor for heart and kidney disease.   Uric acid level can now be used as a marker for fructose toxicity.

Sugar Increases Your Risk Of Disease

One of the most severe effects of sugar consumption is its damaging effect on liver leading to  NAFLD (Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease) which is the same disease people get from alcohol over-consumption. They are: insuline resistance, fatty liver, and abnormal levels of fat in your blood.

One study found that fructose is readily used by cancer cells to increase their proliferation . Sugar feeds the cancer cells, promoting their division and accelerating their growth, which allow the cancer to spread faster.

Another deadly illness that can arise from too much sugar consumption is Alzheimer’s disease . A growing body of research found a powerful connection between a high-fructose diet and your risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease and other brain disorders  by the constant burning of glucose for fuel by your brain.

Cancer cells need glucose to thrive, and carbohydrates turn into glucose in your body. In order to starve the cancer cells, you have to eliminate its primary food source, i.e. the sugars, which include all non-vegetable carbohydrates.

One of the key mechanisms by which sugar promotes cancer and other chronic disease is through mitochondrial dysfunction. When your body burns sugar for its primary fuel, far larger levels of reactive oxygen species are created, which generate secondary free radicals that cause mitochondrial and nuclear DNA damage, along with cell membrane and protein impairment. Cancer is but one potential outcome of this kind of DNA damage.

There is quite compelling evidence showing that when you supply fuel to the mitochondria in your cells at a time when they don’t require large amounts, like when you are sleeping, the system that generates ATP backs up, which in turn liberates free radicals, setting into motion the same cascade of mitochondrial and DNA damage as just described.

There’s also evidence to indicate that cancer cells uniformly have damaged mitochondria, so eating shortly before going to bed is likely a very bad idea, considering your cells need the least amount of fuel when you’re sleeping. Strive for 4 hours of fasting before bedtime.

Tips for Reducing Your Added Sugar Intake

  • Eat real food. Is the most important  ways to dramatically cut down on your sugar and fructose consumption, as most of the added sugar you end up with comes from processed oods: not from adding a teaspoon of sugar to your tea or coffee.
  • Working towards eliminating sugar you personally add to your food  and drink or consume in the form of processed foods
  • Using Stevia instead of sugar.
  • Using fresh fruit in lieu of canned fruit or sugar for meals or recipes calling for a bit of sweetness
  • Using spices instead of sugar to add flavor to your meal.

Remember: A diet that promotes health is high in healthy fats and very, very low in sugar and net carbs (total carbs minus fiber), along with a moderate amount of high quality protein. The single most important driver of obesity and chronic disease is consuming over 50 grams of net carbs a day, along with excessive protein.

Once you get net carbs well below 50 grams, with a protein intake of about one-half gram of protein per pound of lean body mass, along with high quality fat, your body will start to wake up its fat burning metabolism and over time it will become virtually impossible to be overweight.

Pasta,  Rice, Breads, of any kind, especially white, refined or raw, from your diet.  Most grains nowadays come from cancer causing GMO products.

Most breads, especially refined white bread, cause a rapid and dramatic release of insulin in the body. This, in turn, promotes fat storage. And like sugar, eating bread can lead to chronic inflammation and free radical generation, which over time will set the stage for a number of serious disease states.

Recent studies have shown that consumption of grains can cause damage to the nervous system through a mechanism of immune reactions and excitotoxicity. In fact, immune reactions caused by grains can lead to crippling neurological conditions, including:

  • Memory loss
  • Confusion
  • Ataxia (loss of balance)
  • Peripheral neuropathy
  • Seizures
  • Insomnia
  • Attention de cit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) • Schizophrenia
  • Depression and anxiety

This type of immune reaction can also worsen the effects of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.  Evidence has linked the immune reaction to a substance in many grains called gluten. This “gluten sensitivity” is also associated with some very common health problems, including:

WHITERICEResearcher of the Harvard School of Public Health have found a link between higher consumption of white rice and type 2 Diabetes .  

White rice is likely to increase the risk of type 2 diabetes . people who eat the most white rice are 55% more likely to develop the disease than those who ate the least. White rice, white sugar, white bread and white pasta are white because they have been stripped of their minerals (magnesium), vitamin and fiber content.

 If now you are very addicted to products from grains start progressively reducing the amount you eat (and what you take, be it only from whole and organic ones)  until you HAVE NONE OF THESE   ALTOGETHER   (I can not do it yet, I love pasta and I can even prepare it supremely, but  I have it only  twice a  month and only use whole-grain organic types and load it with vegetables).

RAW FOOD3. EAT RAW AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE

Cooked food has no life because enzymes in foods are destroyed at 107º F. and almost all are destroyed at 140º F.  We need to eat raw vegetable and fruits because they are our supply of vitamins, minerals and enzymes

Eat as much raw vegetables as possible and a moderate amount of fruit. Raw food eating protects against Cancer, strengthens the Immune System, helps lowering the BMI (Body Mass Index). The bioactive compounds in raw plant based foods helps to greatly reduce Chronic Diseases

Studies have shown that we absorb only 20 to 30 percent of the nutrients when we eat raw vegetables. At that low rate of absorption, our bodies don’t get enough from the vegetables we eat, especially when we neemasticating juicerd extra intake as when we are sick and fighting a disease.  But of course, it’s not easy to eat 10 to 15 servings of fruits and vegetables every day.

However, if you juice  your vegetables, you can absorb about 80 to 90 percent of the nutrients, meaning you can get the optimal nutrition in about  five servings. People who have survived advanced cancers, most either juiced or blenderized their vegetables. The same is true for preventing cardiovascular diseases.

Many clinical and population studies throughout the world have confirmed that people who eat a diet consisting of many fruits and nutrient-dense vegetables have the lowest incidence of heart attacks and strokes.

Crops everywhere are sprayed with billions of  pounds of pesticide a year. And livestock are also doused regularly with poisons, and that may play a major role in the proliferation of Mad Cow disease. Pesticides, such as aldrin, dieldrin, endrin and heptachlor, have been proven harmful to humans and banned by the Environmental Protection Agency but a a significant amount of imported food is grown in countries where the use of these chemicals is still legal.

It has been determined that people living in the industrialized world have as many as 75 pesticide and herbicide residues stored in their fat cells. Most of these compounds are fat-soluble and are therefore trapped in the body for an entire lifetime.

According to a new study, there a strong correlation between pesticide exposure in young men and the early development of aggressive prostate cancer.

Another study on postmenopausal who inherited a defect in a special detoxification enzyme and were exposed to the pesticide PCBs (polychlorinated had a higher risk of developing breast cancer. Pesticides can also give the human papillomavirus more power to induce breast cancer.

ICECREAM4. HAVE NO DAIRY PRODUCTS FROM PASTEURISED, HOMOGENISED NON-ORGANIC MILK

Only cheese, butter and yogurt made from non-pasteurised milk of grass-fed animals (goats’ milk is the best for human consumption) can be moderately taken. But homemade yogurt should be taken every day.

Raw milk is loaded with “goodies” that boost our immune systems, give us many essential enzymes, vitamins and minerals that keep our digestive system and bodies working at optimum levels of health. Raw milk is literally a super food.

On the other hand, pasteurized, homogenized, non-organic milk is an enzyme-less, nutrition-less food, incapable of rebuilding or maintaining bones or teeth because it is not a good source of calcium (since the enzyme phosphatase, which is required to absorb calcium, is destroyed during the pasteurization process). Most health related problems come from pasteurized, homogenized, non-organic milk consumption.

The rBGH (recombinant bovine growth hormone), a genetically engineered drug, was introduced into the USA market by green giant Monsanto and the FDA in 1994.  rBGH in the cow’s blood triggers the production of another hormone, insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-I) that stimulates milk production.  The IGF-I in cows is chemically identical to the IGF-I in humans.

Unfortunately, because the IGF-I is not destroyed by pasteurization, and the milk being a hormonal delivery system, a significant dose of it is released in a bioactive form directly into the body’s cells causing them to divide and promoting rapid cell proliferation which can cause prostate cancer to form.

Research shows that higher intakes of both calcium and dairy products may increase a man’s risk of prostate cancer by 30 to 50 percent. Plus, dairy consumption increases the body’s level of insuline-like growth factor (IGF-1) a known cancer promoter.

Less dairy, better bones. Countries with lowest rates of dairy and calcium consumption (like those in Africa and Asia) have the lowest rates of osteoporosis. Studies of calcium supplementation have shown no benefit in reducing fracture risk. Vitamin D appears to be much more important than calcium in preventing fractures

BUT you should not consume dairy, even if it is from unpasteurized milk, if you are allergic to the milk proteins and if you’re insulin resistant, because milk contains the dairy sugar lactose, which can worsen insulin/leptin resistance.

Studies of calcium supplementation have shown no benefit in reducing fracture risk. Vitamin D appears to be much more important than calcium in preventing fractures.

Milk doesn’t benefit sports performance.

Other  problems linked to high consumption of pasteurized, homogenized, non-organic milk:

  • Ear infections,
  • Type 1 diabetes,
  • Chronic constipation,
  • Anemia (in children).

Milk is nature’s perfect food — but only if you’re a calf.

WHITE MEAT5. EAT MOSTLY LEAN WHITE MEATS (poultry, turkey, pork and fish organically raised). to get protein in your diet

You can have an occasional steak of read meat (only from grass-fed animals)

BUT BE WARNED no studies have been done on the incidence of viral cancers in organically raised cattle.

The risk of getting Mad Cow disease  is still rather high to take a chance on eating beef. Gelatin is one beef product which often contains neural cow components puts you at highest risk. It is also high in fluoride and the amino acid glutamate (a food additive commonly used to enhance taste). Do not take vitamins vitamins that come in gelatin capsules or “softgels.

mad cow diseaseCattle have a very high incidence of two virally generated cancers — lymphosarcoma and leukemia. and t the virus that causes them can be passed to humans and may cause similar cancers.  Children who drink cow’s milk are more prone to leukemia. Eating poorly cooked beef (rare or medium rare) can put someone at risk of consuming live cancer viruses.

Definitely avoid hot dogs, bologna and other processed meats. They too can put you at risk for Mad Cow disease, besides they contain cancer-causing nitrites. Studies have shown an association between pregnant women eating nitrites in meats and their children developing brain tumors.

Do not force yourself to eat vegetarian if your metabolic type is carnivore.

You must eat as much meat as your metabolic type requires if you want to stay healthy (unless you are in the first 6-month stage of a cancer curing protocol).  Most people’s metabolic type is in between carnivore and vegetarian so, as a general rule, they should eat meat (or fish) 2-4 times per week and have legumes the other days. 

Do not eat red meat from non grass-fed animals which are filled with GMO grains and pumped full of antibiotics and growth hormone.   Grass-fed meat is more nutrient dense and has high levels of omega 3 fatty acids and cancer fighting conjugated linoleic acid (CLA).

Make sure the animal products you buy are pastured and grass-fed, have no hormones and no antibiotics.

Do Not Grill Red Meat to the point of well-done,: Grilled red meat releases a carcinogen called heterocyclic aromatic amines. When you grilled to well-done, it changes the chemical and molecular structure of the meat. You’re better off baking, broiling, or preparing meat in a skillet than on the grill.

The latest studies have determined that women who eat grilled meats every day have a 350% higher incidence of breast cancer, while both men and women are in even more jeopardy of developing colon cancer.

Do Not Eat Farmed Fish:  They are treated with antibiotics, pesticides, and other carcinogenic chemicals to try and control the bacterial, viral, and parasitic outbreaks that result from cramming so many fish in the small space of the farms. Farmed fish also don’t have as much omega-3 as wild salmon.

Do not overcook or sear meats, as they develop powerful cancer-causing compounds called heterocyclic amines, which are strongly associated with colon and stomach cancer.

Always eat meat accompanied with vegetables.  Some studies have shown that eating fresh vegetables with meats significantly reduces the heterocyclic amine danger,

Eat meat only once during the day and  in the first half the day. 

SPICES6. SPICE YOUR FOOD. 

Cayenne pepper, curcuma, black pepper, cumin, cinnamon, ginger, garlic,, cardamom, oregano, rosemary, thyme, and all medicinal herbs are disease fighters besides bringing many health benefits if you consume them daily spicing your foods. 

Using herbs and spices expands your palette without extra calories and may decrease the amount of salt, fat, and sugar you use without sacrificing flavor.

And dress it with good fats.

The good fats include the omega-3 oils and other oils that are converted into EPA and DHA. The omega-3 oils come from algae, which explains why fish is loaded with it., and it explains also why farm-raised fish are devoid of it.

DHA has the more powerful anti- cancer effect than EPA and it is especially efficient in preventing cancer of the colon, prostate and breasts.  DHA inhibits cancer using  principly inflammation reduction.

Pure virgin olive oil is a cancer fighter. Olive oil is a monounsaturated oil, so it will not go rancid.  The oil contains a number of cancer- inhibiting flavonoids, as well as oleic oils.

And extra-virgin olive oil will not only prevent new cancers,  it will fight those that have already developed. The principle fat in olive oil, oleic acid, inhibits the gene Her-2/neu, known to make some breast cancers extremely aggressive.

Another special oil of interest is conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), also called flaxseed oil. This unique fat dramatically reduces breast and colon cancer and possibly that of the prostate. Another advantage is that it causes a loss of body fat, making it a great weight-loss tool. About 1,000 mg. a day is optimal.

BUT spicing your food is not good only for taste. A new study based on a large multi-year food analysis found that folks who favor spicy foods might also have a lower risk of premature death.

The leader of the study author Dr. Lu Qi, an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School in Boston. “If you eat more spicy food, it’s better for your health and lowers the risk for mortality, especially as it relates to cancer and heart disease.” Eating spicy foods between three and seven days per week appeared to lower mortality by as much as 14 percent, the author reported.

Just to mention the properties of the two most important spices, Turmeric and Cayenne pepper.

Turmeric.

Take lots of the inexpensive spice turmeric, which contains the cancer-fighting adaptogen curcumin. Studies have shown that curcumin helps prevent several forms of cancer including breast, lung, stomach, liver, and colon because of its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It stops the development of cancer by interfering with the cellular signaling aspects of the chronic disease.

Note: turmeric is not absorbed very well, but you can increase absorption by also taking coconut milk and/or black pepper along with it

Cayenne Pepper

It has been used for centuries and may be the most valuable medicinal herb in the entire plant kingdom. The amazing curative cayenne pepperpowers of cayenne are almost mind-boggling. 7. HAVE NO
PROCESSED FOODS OF ANY KIND.

Any food which comes boxed, bagged, canned or jarred is processed food.  (milk, fruit juices, sodas, teas)   Basically whatever can be found on the shelves of supermarkets.

Processed food are  all stripped of any nutrients, are lacking of fiber and loaded with sugars, trans-fats, colorants, stabilizers, processed foodsemulsifiers, bleaches, texturisers, preservatives, sweeteners, flavourings, all chemicals damaging for your health. Additionally, these types of foods often contain other additives such as hormones.

These chemicals only feed the bottom lines of the large food corporations that use them to extend the shelf lives of their products and decrease manufacturing costs. And  there’s a whole slew of chemicals used in the U.S. food supply that are so noxious that other countries have  banned them.

Petrochemical-based food colorings, for instance, aren’t allowed in Europe. These include coloring agents like Blue #1 and #2, Yellow #5, and Red #40, among others that are widely used in the United States. You also won’t find ingredients like brominated vegetable oil folic acid (a synthetic version of natural folate), or butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) in Europe.

Other common food chemicals used here in the United States that are banned elsewhere due to their questionable safety profile include:

  • rBHG/rBST artificial growth hormones added to milk
  • Antibiotics in meat, poultry, and fish
  • Propylene glycol in food and alcohol

Nitrites are used as food preservatives — especially in bacon, hot dogs and other processed meats, are a very nasty substance which poses a major health threat as they are prone to induce stomach cancer.

The presence of carcinogens in over- cooked foods and nitrites in pregnant women’s diets. A 430% increased risk of brain cancer (especially the deadly medulloblastoma) for children who don’t eat any fruits or vegetables in the first year of life may explain link between a mother’s nitrite intake and her child’s susceptibility to brain cancer.

Consuming these additives makes it harder for your digestive system to do its job. Chemicals that are unknown to the body prolong the digestive process and keep actual nutrients from being digested. (That is why you get hungrier faster after eating a healthy meal.)

Bottom line, if it’s ready made it’s full of chemicals, if it’s full of chemicals it’s not good for you.

INSTEAD  EAT ONLY WHAT CAN BE PREPARED  BY YOU at home, using  fresh products from organic sources.This way you will always in control of what you put into your body.

Only fresh food can provide your body with the nutrients it needs to keep you healthy: easily assimilated proteins, enzymes, vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, beneficial microflora,

Cooking at home is the best thing to do. Cook slowly at low temperatures and steam as much as you can.

Avoid Microwaving. Microwaving  food alters its chemical make-up, making it equally as hard to digest as those foods full of preservatives and additives.

Microwaves use electromagnetic energy set to a specific frequency which agitates water molecules in food. As they get increasingly agitated, the molecules begin to vibrate atomically and eventually generate heat.

Unfortunately the friction that heats the food also causes substantial damage to the surrounding molecules, tearing them apart and deforming them. And, over time, as a person eats food from a microwave – the consequences can be devastating for his/her health, including a decrease in hemoglobin and cholesterol values and higher white blood cell counts (Leukocytosis) – which is often a sign of an inflammatory response caused by infection or other factors.

Other reports have discovered that microwaving fatty foods leads to the release of dioxins (known carcinogens) as well as polyethylene terpthalate (PET). Dishes made specifically for microwave oven use have been found to leak BPA, or biphenol A, a xenoestrogen that has been linked to breast cancer.

8. HAVE NO GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms) FOR FOOD.

There is a significant compilation of scientific evidence that casts serious doubt on the claims made by industry and government officials about the safety of GE foods. Consider a recent report by The Atlantic.

The authors of the report “GMO Myths and Truths”  on The Atlantic, took a science-based approach to evaluating the available research, arriving at the conclusion that most of the scientific evidence regarding safety and increased yield potential do not at all support the claims. In fact, the evidence demonstrates that claims for genetically engineered foods are not just wildly overblown – they simply aren’t true.

Not only are GE foods less nutritious than non-GE foods, they pose distinct health risks, are inadequately regulated, harm the environment and farmers, and are a poor solution to world hunger.

The authors of this critical report include Michael Antoniou, PhD, who heads the Gene Expression and Therapy Group at King’s College at London School of Medicine in the UK. He’s a 28-year veteran of genetic engineering technology who has himself invented a number of gene expression biotechnologies; and John Fagan, PhD, a leading authority on food sustainability, biosafety, and GE testing.

The Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) toxin, produced by Monsanto’s genetically engineered Bt corn, to kill insects, was found circulating in the blood of 93 percent of the pregnant women, 80 percent of their babies’ umbilical blood, and 67 percent of the non-pregnant women tested by Doctors at Quebec’s Sherbrooke University Hospital.Clearly, Bt toxin is not destroyed in your GI tract as MOnsanto claims.

A study in February 2012 demonstrates that Bt toxin does break open the little pores in human cells, so it could potentially cause the same problem in your gut as it does for the insects it kills.

Consuming Bt corn or soy could potentially cause gut permeability (“leaky gut”), which can predispose you to all sorts of health problem  because the gut is the frontline of the immune system. When your gut lining is too permeable, or “leaky,” larger bits of food can pass directly into your blood, undigested, triggering food allergies and intolerances. Children are particularly susceptible to the harmful effects of leaky gut and dysbiosis (imbalance in natural flora).

Studies also suggests eating Bt corn might actually turn your intestinal flora into a  living pesticide factory”  essentially manufacturing Bt-toxin from within your digestive system on a continuous basis. For decades now, people have been eating these frankenfoods, and allergies have been on the rise. In fact, five million children now suffer from food allergies.

9. HAVE NO PEANUTS.  

It has been found that on peanuts, even if they are grown organically,  grows a fungus which produces aflatoxin and aflatoxin is used in experimental animals cancer researches to stimulate cancer growth. 

Aflatoxins have been associated with various diseases  in livestock, domestic animals and humans throughout the world.  Aflatoxins have received great attention because of their demonstrated potent carcinogenic effect in laboratory PEANUTSanimals and  acute toxicological effects in humans. Many countries  are imposing regulatory limits on commodities intended for use as food and feed to limit human exposure to aflatoxins.

Severe, potentially life-threatening allergic reactions to peanuts can occur in children with their first exposure to the food — often before age 3.After a peanut or other nut allergy is diagnosed, children are at high risk of an accidental exposure later on. In a study of children affected by hypersensitivity to peanuts, about 55% had an accidental exposure to peanuts in the 5 years after diagnosis.

Because of cross contamination, people with peanut allergies probably ought to avoid nuts of all kinds. Peanuts, which are legumes, are ubiquitous and are often added to foods with nuts as extenders.

Exposure to peanuts is thought to cause approximately 100 deaths each year, making it the number one cause of death from food allergy in the US.

Other problems related to peanuts:

  • They are loaded with omega-6 fats that distort the omega 3:6 ratio
  • Peanuts are one of the most pesticide-contaminated crops

10. DRINK ONLY PURIFIED WATER 

Never use tap water from city water supplies.  It is usually chlorinated (linked to hardening of the arteries), and fluoridated (strongly linked to cancer and thyroid disease).

And most tap water is contaminated with a host of pollutants that increase your risk of serious health problems.  They are:

1. Arsenic.  The level of arsenic in US tap water is incredibly high. This element is a powerful carcinogenic, which has been linked to the development of several types of cancer.

The Natural Resources Defense Council estimated as many as 56 million Americans living in 25 states drink water with arsenic at unsafe levels. For more information, see the  USGS website, which offers maps showing where and to what extent arsenic occurs in ground water across the United States.

2. Aluminum.  Increases your risk of Alzheimer’s disease and it can cause a wide variety of other health problems?

  • Hyperactvity
  • Learning disabilities in children
  • Gastrointestinal disease
  • Skin problems
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Liver disease

3. Fluoride. The story that fluoride in your drinking water prevents cavities and helps build strong teeth, is just a cleverly devised mass-deception.. As recent study done on children in India shows that fluoride  toxin that actually leads to an increased risk of cavities and can cause a wide range of health problems, including weakening your immune system and accelerating aging due to cellular damage.

Fluoride is a known endocrine disrupting, neurotoxic, and bone-weakening substance. The damages of fluoride to human health are numerous:

Fluoride and Alzheimer’s

Degenerative brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s, cancer, behavioral problems, thyroid suppression, male infertility and impotence are some examples of what may happen to the body when too much fluoride is present. And the combination of fluoride and aluminum is toxic enough that scientists warn about its connection to Parkinson’s and Lou Gehrig’s diseases.

Fluoride will accumulate in your brain with every drink of water, and can lead to a form of degeneration.  A number of fairly recent studies have shown significant damage to many parts of the brain caused by fluoride.

Studies showing significant damage to various parts of the brain continues to grow, but most of the studies come from Mexico, China, Japan, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Sweden, Canada and England ,only very few studies come from labs in the United States. The National Institutes of Health and The National Institute of Dental Health  refuse to fund fluoride safety research.

In China, where many studies were done, it has been shown that children who drink fluoridated water have lower IQs than those who don’t. Many villages and cities in China have natural high fluoride levels, and Chinese scientists have found a drop of 10 points in IQ in fluoridated cities.

 Studies show plenty connections between Alzheimer’s disease and fluoride. While drinking fluoridated water is not the cause of Alzheimer’s, there is a link. These studies demonstrate that fluoride could cause an early onset of the disease and make it progress more rapidly. In fact, when combined with other toxins we all are exposed to, it can make matters worse.

Fluoride and Baby’s Brain Development

Researchers examining the brains of aborted babies five to eight months into a pregnancy who were from areas having naturally high fluoride levels in the drinking water, found that the brain cells of the babies were grossly abnormal and nerve fibers were not even compatible with typical human nerve fibers and the nerve fibers were misplaced and swollen. In other words: their brains were miswired.

Many foods and drinks also are high in fluoride, such as de-boned meats, gelatin and American wines, especially California wines.

Fluoride and Cancer

An old 1975 study by , Dr. Dean Burk, the former chief chemist of the National Cancer Institute, and Dr. John Yiamouyiannis comparing cancer death rates in the 10 largest fluoridated cities matched with the 10 largest non-fluoridated cities found that once cities began including fluoride in their drinking water, cancer death rates began to climb. After 13 to 17 years of fluoridation of their drinking water, these cities experienced a 10 percent increase in cancer death rates compared with the non-fluoridated cities.

Dr. Donald Austin of the California Tumor Registry discovered the cancer death rates in California were 40 percent higher in fluoridated communities. Dr. Victor Ceilioni showed the cancer death rates in Canadian cities were 15 percent to 25 percent higher in fluoridated cites compared with non-fluoridated cities.

In 1989, a study of The Battelle Institute and released proof of the connection between fluoride and cancer. The study showed:

  • At 45 ppm, there was a 12 percent increased incidence of oral cancers, such as cancers of the tongue and gums.
  • Toothpaste can contain between 1,000 and 1,500 ppm fluoride.
  • Fluoride gels used in dental offices contain up to 15,000 ppm.
  • New fluoride varnishes release a high concentration of fluoride continuously in the mouth.

Other Fuoride-linked diseases

  • Bone cancer
  • Crippling
  • Bones fractures
  • Thyroid
  • Male infertility and impotence

Avoid:

  • Teas high in fluoride
  • Fluoridated water
  •  Toothpaste with flouride
  • Vaccinations, since they contain fluoride and aluminum
  • Pesticides or herbicides near or in your home
  • Medications containing fluoride

Also, do not use lemon in your tea, since it will increase aluminum absorption enormously.

Do not cook in aluminum or Teflon-coated cook- ware, and avoid using Teflon products.

An Interesting Position Of The FDA About Fluoride Supplements And Its Implications

Fluoride drugs have been prescribed in the USA for over 50 years and fluoride supplements cannot be purchased over-the-counter because of its toxicity, (in fact you can have them only by prescription).,

But suddenly, just on January 13, 2016, the FDA announced that marketing fluoride drops and tablets for cavity prevention violates federal law, because FDA has never approved these products as either safe or effective and a”Warning Letter” was sent to Kirkman Laboratories, Inc., ordering that they cease immediately the marketing of its fluoride drops and tablets.

And specified that fluoride drops and tablets are unapproved new drugs because they are not generally recognized as safe and effective for caries prevention, and no adequate studies have ever been provided to FDA by any manufacturer to demonstrate the drugs’ safety and effectiveness.

Basically, the FDA has decided that sodium fluoride is not a nutritional “supplement;” it is a prescription drug, and a dangerous one.

Well,, this is real funny, think about it: on one hand FDA recognises  that sodium fluoride is not effective for cavity protection, is toxic for human health and warns the manufacturers from manufacturing this product,  on the other hand adding prescription-strength doses of fluoride to public water supplies is legally done all over the USA. and with water fluoridation, cities and towns get almost the same dose of fluoride contained in prescription fluoride drops and tablets to each glass a person drinks,

But with the difference that in this way fluoride is acquired by and forced onto everyone with no supervision of a doctor, and without the informed consent of the patient, therefore should be illegal.

Now consider that public water supplies are contaminated with metals, trace levels of pharmaceutical drugs, including oral contraceptives and mood stabilizers, then add prescription-strength doses of fluoride and tell me what kind of a healthy cocktail we are getting when we drink tap water

Now let’s wait and see  whether FDA will follow through by going after the larger companies that are currently manufacturing the same fluoride drugs. For the moment Kirkman and all the other fluoride drops and tablets manufacturers, continue to produce undaunted their unapproved fluoride drugs,  and doctors to prescribe them.

4. Disinfection Byproducts (DBPs) Most tap community water supplies are treated with chlorine and DBPS are the result of disinfecting water with chlorine. It is important to note that while consuming chlorine is certainly not healthy, DBPs are TEN THOUSAND TIMES more dangerous!In addition to being a powerful carcinogenic, DPBs have also been linked to liver, kidney and nervous system problems.

So is Bottled Water the Right Way To Go?

Unfortunately almost 40% of sold bottled water is just tap water. Also, drinking from plastic bottles may not be a good idea because most plastic bottles contain a chemical called Bisphenol (BPA) which is a synthetic hormone disruptor that has been linked to such problems as

  • Learning and behavioral problems
  • BOTTLED WATERAltered immune system function
  • Prostate and breast cancer
  • Obesity
  • Early puberty for both genders

An independent test performed by the Environmental Working Group revealed the presence of 38 low-level contaminants in bottled water,  with each of the 10 tested brands containing an average of eight chemicals including disinfection byproducts (DBPs), caffeine, Tylenol, nitrate, industrial chemicals, arsenic, and bacteria.

Fluoride (a highly toxic bone poison that should be avoided at all costs) is usually present also in filtered bottled water. Many bottled waters actually make a point of adding fluoride back into the water, so if you are drinking bottled water please make sure yours is fluoride free. Antimony, a toxic metal has also been found in many commercially bottled water brands.

When you drink bottled water, not only is the water itself potentially contaminated, but the bottle it comes in often poses serious problems of its own. Plastic bottles contain Bisphenol-A (BPA) which is an endocrine disrupter, which means it interferes with your body’s hormones and “disrupts” your endocrine system. The glands of your endocrine system and the hormones they release influence almost every cell, organ, and function of your body.

BPA has been linked to a number of health concerns, particularly in pregnant women, fetuses and young children, but also in adults, including:

Do not use water from a well either because toxic amounts of copper, cadmium, and lead are picked up from the plumbing even if the well is pure. 

SPRING WATERAnother Possibility

Find a gravity-fed raw spring in your area. This water is naturally filtered by the earth and it is not pasteurized or heated like nearly all commercial bottled waters.  Pure raw spring water contains living organisms like algae that are actually beneficial for you.

There is a Web site called FindaSpring.com that will help you find a spring in your area. Typically they are even monitored by the local municipalities for contaminants.

The last resource for getting pure water is to install a reverse-osmosis water treatment system.

Reverse osmosis, like distillation, creates fairly acidic water, and it also revese osmosisstrips the water of minerals. Additionally, some contend that R/O destabilized the structure of the water, and the system has other drawbacks as well. It’s expensive, and it wastes water. However these concerns are farily easily addressed by adding a high quality source of mineral salts like Himalayan Salt into the processed water  And there are systems that only lose about a gallon of water for every water produced.

Reverse osmosis will remove virtually all contaminants from the water, including fluoride, especially when combined with a pre- and post-carbon filtration system, so if your water is fluoridated, this may be a major benefit that outweighs the drawbacks.

11. EAT MODERATELY and REGULARLY and FAST INTERMITTENTLY

Eat 3 times/day. But skip a meal if you do not feel hungry.

Fast intermittently. As a general rule, it involves cutting calories in whole or in part, either a couple of days a week, every other day, or even daily. 

Intermittent fasting mimics the eating habits of our ancestors, who did not have access to food around the clock. They typically would cycle through periods of feast and famine, and modern research shows this cycling produces a number of biochemical benefits. By altering what and when you eat, you can rather dramatically alter how your body operates.

That means eating taking normal quantity of foods 5 days a week and half that amount 2 days a week.

This fasting protocol is exactly as it sounds: one day off, one day on. When you include sleeping time, the fast can end up being as long as 32-36 hours. The drawback is that it requires you to go to bed with an empty stomach every other day, which can be tough for most people—at least initially.

The Peak Fasting Plan

Here you avoid eating for 13 to 18 hours by eliminating breakfast or dinner, but not both)

Besides,  fluoride toothpaste is often the largest single source of fluoride intake for young children and is a major risk factor for disfiguring dental fluorosis. This is because children swallow a large amount of the paste that they put in their mouth.

In fact, research has shown that it is not uncommon for young children to swallow more fluoride from toothpaste alone than is recommended as an entire day’s ingestion from all sources.

Swallowing fluoride, as is the case with fluoridated drinking water, is especially detrimental to your health, as the science clearly demonstrates that fluoride is a toxic chemical that accumulates in your tissues over time, wreaks havoc with enzymes, and produces a number of serious adverse health effects, including neurological and endocrine dysfunction.

Children and adults as well are at risk for adverse effects of overexposure to fluoride.

A multi-million dollar, U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded study found no significant relationship between tooth decay and fluoride intake among people.

Many research studies indicate that fluoridation may cause the risk of developing a type of cancer called osteosarcoma, which involves the toxicity related to cancer beginning from the bones. And the risk is much greater in children.

More additives found in conventional toothpastes, besides fluoride:

Triclosan, n antibacterial chemical which has been linked to concerns over antibiotic resistance and endocrine disruption.

Sodium laurel sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate (SLS), or sodium lauryl ether sulfate (SLES). Responsible for the foaming action of the toothpaste, but they also interfere with the functioning of your taste buds by breaking up the phospholipids on your tongue.

Replace your conventional chemicals loaded toothpaste with COCONUT OIL as toothpaste.

  • It is inexpensive
  • It has no harmful chemicals. 
  • It is effective Against Cavity-Causing Bacteria. Massaging coconut oil into your gums for about 10 minutes daily (continued for three weeks) significantly reduces decay-causing Streptococcus mutans as well as plaque.

It could even be homemade. You need:

  • coconut oil,
  • baking soda,
  • salt,
  • an essential oil to give your toothpaste  flavor and add additional therapeutic benefits. Peppermint oilextract which has been shown to be superior to the mouthwash chemical chlorhexidine in inhibiting the formation of biofilm formations linked to dental cavities,
  • Bentonite clay, which adds a paste-like consistency and may help draw out toxins from your gums and tongue.

Recommendations for teeth health in general:

  • Avoid fluoridated water and fluoridated toothpaste. Instead use natural non-fluoride toothpaste, either homemade or from a reputable brand.
  • Minimize your sugar and grain consumption. Keep your fructose intake to less than 25 grams per day. Avoid processed foods.
  • Make sure you consume a diet rich in fresh, whole foods, fermented vegetables, and grass-fed meats, which will ensure you’re getting plenty of the minerals that are so important for strong bones and teeth.
  • Practice good oral hygiene and get regular cleanings from a mercury-free natural dentist. Scrubbing your teeth briskly with a washcloth before brushing can also help to remove the built-up biofilm.

13. HAVE AMALGAM TYPE DENTAL FILLINGS REMOVED  

Mercury dental fillings, or amalgams, have been used for more than 150 years, despite the fact that mercury is one of the most potent neurotoxins known to man.

Dental amalgam is an antiquated filling material, deceptively called “silver fillings,” referring to the color of the material rather than its composition, that’s typically ALGAMcomposed of a mixture of 50 percent mercury and 50 percent other metals (copper, tin, silver and zinc).

Mercury has been scientifically proven to have damaging effects on your kidneys, nervous system, cardiovascular system and immune system. In fact, it’s SO toxic that entire buildings have been evacuated for a mercury spill smaller than a standard dental filling.

Yet, in spite of all these known risks, you’re somehow supposed to believe that mercury is safe in your mouth, or in your child’s mouth, for many decades.

Norway, Denmark, and Sweden have enacted legislation banning mercury amalgam in their countries. And the European Commission stated: “The largest source of mercury exposure for most people in developed countries is inhalation of mercury vapor from dental amalgam.”

Though the American Dental Association (ADA) continues to insist that the mercury in amalgam is safe and does not leak, (in spite of the fact that no clinical studies have ever been done to confirm this) independent studies have shown that the mercury in dental amalgam is not as stable as proponents claim as mercury vapor leaks out in significant amounts, and is a chronic mercury exposure to your body.

Dental amalgams readily release mercury in the form of vapor every time you eat, drink, brush your teeth, or otherwise stimulate your teeth. A single amalgam filling may release as much as 15 micrograms of mercury per day, and according to the featured documentary, 10 micrograms per day is average.

Mercury vapors typically pass through your cell membranes and cross your blood-brain barrier into your central nervous system, where they can cause serious psychological, neurological, and immunological problems.

Mercury toxicity has been linked to Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological disorders, including multiple sclerosis.

Mercury also impairs your body’s ability to detoxify. You may be particularly vulnerable to the toxic effects of mercury if your immune system is in any way compromised, or if you are exposed to additional toxins—lead or aluminum, for example—in which case, mercury becomes even more toxic.

General symptoms of mercury poisoning can easily be overlooked or misdiagnosed. If you have any of the following symptoms or a combination, you might want to have yourself screened for heavy metal toxicity:

  • Impairment of vision, hearing, or speech, including light sensitivity
  • Lack of motor coordination

Important Information About Amalgam Removal

Removing amalgam fillings can expose you to significant amounts of mercury vapor if your dentist doesn’t do it properly. For this reason, it’s important to find a qualified biological dentist who is trained in safe amalgam removal.  Mercury can cause kidney damage.

When amalgams are removed, a large amount of mercury is released, and if the proper precautions aren’t taken, your body can absorb a massive dose of mercury, which can lead to acute kidney problems.

Steps that need to be taken to keep you (and your dentist) safe during amalgam removal include:

  • Providing you with an alternative air source and instructing you not to breathe through your mouth

Exercise Beats Stress and Prevents Heart Attack.

And our lives are full of stress which can be generated  from a a lot of different reasons. Stress causes a reaction from our adrenal glands to emit cortisol which remains in our blood for a long time. Cortisol worsens the inflammation of the arteries caused by the white blood cells when they are trying to fight the formation of the plaque in them.

Increased inflammation will cause a breaking off of the plaque which will block the blood flow of the artery and lead to a heart attack.

Exercise Can Help You Fight Cancer

Because cancer thrives on sugar, with regular exercise you reduces your insulin levels, thus createing a low sugar environment that reduces the growth and spread of cancer cells. This is is one of the most powerful steps you can take to reduce your cancer risk.

Physically active adults experience about half the incidence of colon cancer as their sedentary counterparts. Exercise has a beneficial influence on insulin, prostaglandins and bile acids, all of which are thought to encourage the growth and spread of cancer cells in your colon. Exercise also improves bowel transit time, which means your body’s waste is spending less time in contact with the mucosal lining of your colon.

As the Wall Street Journal article points out, women who exercise regularly can reduce their breast cancer risk by 20 to 30 percent over their inactive counterparts.

Due to his lowering effect of estrogen levels, exercise can reduce the breast cancer risk of women by 20 to 30 percent over their inactive counterparts. An article ot the Wall Street Journal cites a study in which women being treated for breast cancer were 50 percent less likely to die of the disease if they walked at an average pace for three to five hours a week.

Exercise Is A Natural Cure For Ageing

Ageing and disease are linked to the length of your telomeres which are strands of DNA at the ends of your chromosomes. They protect them from damaging, and gradual erosion of telomeres leads to aging on a cellular level.

The leading edge of anti aging research is on how to prevent telomere shortening and actually develop therapies to lengthen telomeres. Many experts believe that lengthening telomeres could actually turn the biological clock backwards.

15. PERIODICALLY DO THE ORGAN CLEANSES and DETOXIFY

The basic premise of detoxification is that your body accumulates more toxins in the modern world than its natural detoxification system (your liver, kidneys and lungs) can get rid of. Proponents say that chemicals from pesticides, chlorine, bleach and ammonia, and carbon monoxide build up over time and cause disease.

16. CYCLICALLY, OR WHEN SICK, TAKE WHOLE FOOD SUPPLEMENTS and VITAMINS

Dietary supplements are defined in the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, in Section 201(ff), as products “intendSUPPLEMENTSed to supplement the diet.” They may contain a variety of ingredients including vitamins, minerals, amino acids, herbs or other botanicals, or other dietary substances “for use by man to supplement the diet by increasing the total dietary intake.”

Regardless, a healthy lifestyle must include a focus on dietary improvement. Generous intakes of the essential nutrients much above the FDA recommended daily allowance,  will support the normal functioning of the body and enhance health in many ways. The rational use of nutritional supplements, combined with a healthy diet, will contribute substantially to health promotion and disease prevention.

But we have to acknowledge that there is a problem with our food supply because it is NOT providing you with the same nutrition as it did in generations past. This is largely related to industrial based modern methods, which include reliance on synthetic fertilizers that radically decreases nutrient density, including valuable micronutrients that have long ago largely vanished from most of these soils.

So, as is the case for general population, if you do not eat a diet of unprocessed, organically-raised foods you are certainly suffering from nutritional deficiencies of varying kinds and to varying degrees. And according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) most Americans lack access, availability, and affordability of fresh, whole fruits and vegetables.

On his side, the food industry is adding synthetic vitamins and nutrients back into all manner of highly processed foods in order to “ensure” their processed and hence denatured junk does not cause you to be nutrient deficient, and wants you to believe that it’s is enough to maintain your health. 

So the bottom line is that if you have a problem with your food supply because you cannot get enough high-quality whole foods to provide you with enough quantity of nutrients you need to stay healthy, (and because nowadays certain nutrients also tend to be scarce overall, even in organic foods), or you are sick, taking a high-quality nutritional supplement is most likely a must for anyone.

Do not make the mistakes  to buy the cheapest supplements you can find, do not  assume they’re all the same. Vitamin E for example, in thet most common manufactured forms — called DL-alpha-tocopherols and d-alpha-toco- pherol acetate — have little anti-cancer activity and are  poorly absorbed in the body. And in high can even interfere with carotenoid absorption.

Take the natural forms of vitamins E  containing d-alpha-toco-pherol and d-alpha-tocopheryl succinate which have excellent anti- cancer effects, are well absorbed, boost immunity, reduce inflammation and are much more powerful as antioxidants.

The same can be said for synthetic beta-carotene,  the form that was used in a widely reported study showing increased carrotscancer rates in smokers who took the supplement. Experiments using natural forms of beta-carotene showed profound cancer inhibition.  Natural form carotene is extracted from an algae called Dunaliella salina.

You may also want to take one or more food-based supplements to ensure you are getting an adequate array of nutrients in your diet. When these situations arise, your first choice will be food-based supplements.

Take multivitamin/mineral combinations in vegetarian capsules in dry powder form which are much better absorbed. Hard vitamin tablets are more difficult to dissolve and absorb, especially for people experiencing gastrointestinal complications.

Avoid vitamin in a gelatin capsules. Gelatin is high in fluoride and glutamate and poses a high risk for mad cow disease.

Whole food supplements are  made from concentrated whole foods. The vitamins found within these supplements are not isolated. They are highly complex structures and combine a variety of enzymes, coenzymes, antioxidants, trace elements, activators and many other unknown or undiscovered factors all working together synergistically, to enable this vitamin complex to do its job in your body.

Isolated nutrients or synthetic nutrients are not natural, in that they are never found by themselves in nature. Taking these isolated nutrients, especially at the ultra-high doses found in formulas today, is more like taking a drug. Studies show the body treats these isolated and synthetic nutrients like  foreign substances.

And, because most nutrients are isolated using a wide range of potentially nasty solvents and other chemicals — taking high amounts of these products can also expose you to these potentially toxic chemicals.

How do you tell whether or not a supplement you’re looking at is a good choice? For starters, make sure it has the following characteristics:

  • It is as close as possible to its natural form.
  • The utmost care has been taken in all phases of its production, from growing its ingredients, to manufacturing, testing for potency and quality control.
  • Always try to select from companies that have a long track record of providing high quality products that produce good clinical results.

And do not think that the e-cigarette are much better: they of contain more than 10 times the level of carcinogen contained in a regular cigarette.

Health complications caused by cigarette smoking:

  • Risk of atherosclerosis
  • Coronary heart disease The plaque liquids build up in the coronary arteries. It can lead to chest pain, heart attack, heart failure, arrhythmias, or death.

Women smokers who have diabetes and take birth control pills are at greater risk of having serious ailments to the heart and blood vessels.
  • Increase Risk Of Stroke. Smokers have a two to four times increased risk of having a stroke than non-smokers. It happens when a clot blocks the blood from your brain or when an artery around or in your brain blows up.
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), like emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
  • Pregnancy Complications. Pregnant women smokers have a higher risk of early delivery, miscarriage, or stillbirth.
  • Erectile Dysfunctions Men who smoke may develop erectile dysfunctions and  sperm defects.
  • Cancer. Cigarettes contain thousands of cancer causing chemicals.

Unfortunately many people don’t begin to feel the most serious effects of smoking until years (and many packs of cigarettes) later, and once you begin to feel the symptoms, you know damage has already been done (similar to the effects of a poor diet). Other internal problems that cigarettes causes in your body. are:

  • Progressive harm to your musculoskeletal system and bone mineral density
  • Slower healing after injury
  • 53 percent more likely to develop cognitive impairment than non-smokers
  • Increases your risk of tooth loss and decay
  • 25 percent increased risk of any fracture and a 40 percent increased risk of hip fracture
  • 79 percent increase in chronic back pain and a 114 percent increase in disabling lower back pain.
  • 59 percent more likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease
  • Increases your risk of age-related macular degeneration by 78 percent to 358 percent, and increases your risk of age-related cataracts

18. ELIMINATE, REPLACE OR CONTROL THE  HIDDEN KILLERS IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD

householdsWell Folks, unfortunately to eat well, exercise, take only natural remedies to stay healthy or to recover from a disease (like I am preaching in my blog) and be happy is not enough to ensure a long life with no health trouble till your old days

My General Health Guidelines will certainly work miracles for everyone who would follow them but there are two places which we have to have control over in order to ensure complete coverage against disease,  and remain perfect health: the environment of your household and the natural outer environment of the place where you live.

As we cannot do much to control the outer environment, which is poisoned by all the chemicals in it released everyday in huge quantities, unless we have the possibility to move to better areas of the country,  at least we can check our household to make sure that we have not unknowingly filled it with poisons which not surprisingly are hidden in every product that we use and handle everyday.

Air pollution and chemicals found in common household and personal care goods are major sources of exposure that can lead to an accumulation of toxins in your body.

As you know, medicines are poisons because they are chemicals and chemical substances are incompatible with our natural body. But what about all the chemical substances you use daily in your house?  Are they safe’ We are so used to them we do not think anymore that they too are potentially harmful to your health.

They seem apparently innocuous and usually in your mind they are associated to something good, pleasant, because they supposedly sanitise, clean and perfume you and your house,  right? in reality they are filled with heavy metals, arsenic, formaldehyde and parabens which are endocrine disruptors, estrogen mimics, and outright poison to the cells in your body.

Their ingredients accumulate in your body, gradually building up (bit by bit) to levels that are toxic and cause disease.

Triclosan. A chlorinated, antibacterial chemical that is found in many household products, including: 

  • Cleaning supplies 
  • Hair products
  • Kitchen utensils
  • Liquid hand soaps
  • Shaving cream
  • Toothpaste
  • Trash bags

So Triclosan is basically everywhere around you in your household, in any products that we touch and we put on our skin and even in our mouth.

antibacterialCertainly triclosan has some antibacterial effects. But there is no doubt that continual usage of it will result in triclosan-resistant bacteria (same thing that happens with antibiotics). So  avoid toothpaste with triclosan.

Triclosan is a known endocrine disrupter that has been shown to depress thyroid hormone concentrations. In fact, rats that were fed different doses of triclosan for 31 days were found to have a decrease in T4 (thyroid hormone) concentrations that varied along with the amounts they consumed. 

Furthermore, there were significant increases in liver weights with increasing triclosan doses. Pregnant rats exposed to triclosan had nearly one-third reduction in thyroid hormone.

In the National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey (2003-2004), triclosan was detected in 75 percent of people studied.  Amazing no?. 75% of us get poisoned just by living inside our own homes

And, quite interestingly, the highest levels of Triclosan were found in individual with the highest incomes. Detectable levels of of it were found even in breast milk

Now, knowing that triclosan is an endocrine disrupter, you would think the American Dental Association (ADA) would be concerned about this substance being in almost any toothpaste. However, the ADA lightly provides its seal of approval to many different brands of toothpaste which contain triclosan.  In fact, according ADA “ triclosan reduce(s) gingivitis, a mild inflammation of the gum tissue.”

Avoiding triclosan in general is not easy, as it is so widespread. However, there are some basic steps that you can take to minimise exposure. 

  • Never use toothpaste that does contain triclosan.  But avoid also liquid soap because generally liquid soaps that are advertised as antibacterial contain just triclosan.
  • Check all your household products and replace them with natural products as much as possible or limit your exposure reducing the quantity you use and its concentration. 
  • Be aware that appearently light poisonings, inadvertedly or accidentally picked up here and there, at the end sum up in a serious health problem. Most of our full blown diseases start with little steps at a time.

Bisphenol-A (BPA),

BPAAnimal studies have demonstrated that there’s “very strong evidence” BPA can interfere with thyroid hormones. Brain damage, decreased intelligence, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and autism were also found to be potential side effects.

BPA is one of the world’s highest production-volume chemicals and is widely used in the production of:

  • Plastic water bottles
  • Plastic gallon milk bottles
  • Plastic microwavable plates, ovenware, and utensils
  • Tooth sealants
  • Canned foods and soda cans (most have plastic lining in the cans)
  • Baby toys, bottles, pacifiers, and sippy cups

PhthalatesAnother chemical used in the manufacturing of plastics.

They’re also one of the most pervasive endocrine disrupters so far discovered. Associated with changes in the development of the male brain as well as with genital defects, metabolic abnormalities and reduced testosterone in babies and adults.

phtalatesPhthalates are found in, among other things:

  • Detergents
  • Beauty products like nail polish, hair spray, shampoo, deodorants, and fragrances
  • Cosmetics
  • Shower curtains
  • Toys
  • Processed food packaging
  • Lubricant and adhesives

PFOA. Non-stick cookware. is the primary source of dangerous perfluorinated chemicals (PFOAs).

Non-stick pans quickly reach temperatures that cause the coating to begin breaking down, releasing toxins that have been linked to cancer, birth defects and thyroid disease into the air in your kitchen.

Throw away this type of cookware immediately and replace it with either ceramic or glass.

FormaldehydeMost commonly known as embalming fluid

embalmingFrequently used in fabrics to give them a variety of “easy care properties” as well as being a common component of pressed-wood products. 

Has been shown to cause cancer in animals, and may cause cancer in humans.

Other common adverse health effects include fatigue, skin rashes, and allergic reactions. Choose all natural materials for your clothing and furniture can help cut down on your exposure.

Also avoid all aspartame, as well as bottled or canned fruit juices as they have methanol which your body converts to formaldehyde. This is even more dangerous than the formaldehyde in products, as your body carries the methanol like a Trojan horse to sensitive tissues like your brain where an enzyme converts it to formaldehyde.

PBDEs: Flame-retardant chemicals, have been linked to altered thyroid levels, decreased fertility and numerous problems with development when exposure occurs in utero.

PBDEs are commonly found in household items like upholstery and television and computer housings. Fortunately, several states now ban the use of PBDEs, so there is some progress toward reducing exposure.

Another common source of PBDEs is your mattress, and since you can spend up to a third of your life in bed, this is a significant health concern. Mattress manufacturers are not required to label or disclose which chemicals their mattresses contain.

Look for 100 percent wool, toxin-free mattresses. Another viable option is to look for a mattress that uses a Kevlar, bullet-proof type of material in lieu of chemicals for fire-proofing.

19. THROW AWAY ALL YOUR PRESCRIPTION DRUGS

One of the problem with prescription drugs (lab created synthetic products) is that very year about 2 million Americans suffer from serious adverse drug reactions which,  according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), cause about 100,000 deaths per year, making prescription drugs the fourth-leading cause of death in the country.

An enormous problem if you compare it to the death toll from illegal drugs  -about 10,000 per year.

In reality the problem is much bigger because  drug side effects are not always recognized as such and doctors often attribute them to other causes, and  people often do not report them.  And if we want to take into account  medical errors, unnecessary procedures, and surgery-related mistakes, you will see that 

the modern health care system IN ITS ENTIRETY actually has become  THE LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH IN THE USA. 

It has been calculated that since 2001, about 490,000 people have died from properly prescribed drugs in the United States.  That is not including deaths from over-the-counter drugs.

And, according to a study by researchers at Johns Hopkins University the British Medical Journal, medical errors take a quarter of a million lives a year,  which after heart disease and cancer,  kill more Americans than anything else does. But doctors see nothing wrong with themselves, do not experience  distress over what they do to patients, and believe their behavior rational, rewarding, and satisfying. Most doctors perceive themselves as superior beings. Their acts result from calculating rationality that has been heavily conditioned by their professors in medical school and by the constant marketing efforts of the major pharmaceutical companies.

cemetryAnd about every time you open a newspaper there is a new headline about another drug disaster: an unforeseen side effect has harmed more people. So if your doctor suggests you take a drug, just do your home research before you take it, because once you do, it could be too late.

In the USA the “war on drugs” has focused exclusively on the illegal trafficking of drugs like cocaine, heroin, and marijuana while the most powerful drug dealers of all — the pharmaceutical companies — are allowed to grow their businesses with the U.S. government’s gold seal of approval. They are among the largest corporate criminals in the world, and t nothing more than white-collar drug dealers.

Some of the largest pharmaceutical companies had been convicted of gross misconduct, fraud and deceit.Here is just a sampling of what the top drug companies settlements:

  • Merck: With a long  list of deaths to its credit, and more than $5.5 billion in judgments and fines levied against it, it took five years before Merck made a$30-billion recall of the painkiller Vioxx  After the drug was withdrawn, and 60,000 had already died, Merck picked up the pieces painlessly by getting the new drug Gardasil fast-tracked andon the market.  Gardasil is a vaccine that so far has been linked to thousands of adverse events and at least 49 unexplained deaths. But the FDA and CDC have been denying repeatedly this reality, keeping their heads buried in the sand even as the adverse reports mount.
  • Baxter: Dozens of recalls of products that caused deaths and injuries, at least 11 different guilty pleas to fraud and illegal sales activity, more than 200 lawsuits – many of them stemming from selling AIDS-tainted blood to hemophiliacs – and more than $1.3 billion in criminal fines and civil penalties.
  • Pfizer: In the largest health care fraud settlement in history, Pfizer was ordered to pay $2.3 billion to resolve criminal and civil allegations that the company illegally promoted uses of four of its drugs, including the painkiller Bextra, the antipsychotic Geodon, the antibiotic Zyvox, and the anti-epileptic Lyrica.
  • GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) In 2012 settles to pay $3 billion for illegal marketing of Paxil and Welbutrin and downplaying safety risks of Avandia among other charges. The company hid data about drug risks, marketed drugs for unapproved uses, and paid doctors  for prescribing their drugs. One of the most high-profile accounts involved tv’s Dr. Drew, who reportedly received $275,000 from GSK to promote Welbutrin to treat sexual dysfunction associated with depression even though it hasn’t been proven effective for this purpose.
  • Abbott Laboratories. In 2102 settles for $1.5 billion for aggressively promoting their seizure drug Depakote for off-label use in elderly dementia patients, despite lacking evidence of safety or effectiveness (and a known increase of serious side effects, like anorexia, in the elderly).
  •  Johnson & Johnson – Currently pending– will pay anywhere from $1.5 to $2 billion for pharmaillegal marketing of Risperdal and other drugs. The company not only heavily marketed drugs to children and the elderly despite inadequate evidence of safety or efficacy, they also hid data about drugs’ side effects.

Well, too many cases to show them all, but all showing all their fraud and deception, their kickbacks, price-setting, bribery and all other illegal sales activities in favor of their interests instead of looking out for public health, which to date has been clearly ineffective.

So, if you are still a doctors and Big Pharma believer and love to gulp their medicines, check the potential side effects of the drug your doctor wants to prescribe to you, and even if it lists a side effect as rare, be aware that it can still happen to you. Rimember that most drugs are unnecessary and over-prescribed.

Make sure that you make drugs a last option, not a first choice. Remember that most conditions, even major ones,  can be treated and reversed just with LIFESTYLE CHANGES, as I have been  preaching here. These conditions are:

  • Diabetes
  • Heart disease
  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol

FINAL RECOMMENDATIONS

Always remember that Big Pharma (drugs, drugs, drugs) and Big Business (food manufacturers, chemical producers, and even personal care manufacturers), don’t care about your health.

Stay as far away from anything that comes from that gangs you can. They don’t care about “curing” anything or “doing good for you” at all because then they would not make the billions they are accustomed to making  now playing with your life.

And anytime you use their products: prescription drugs, processed foods,  cosmetics, shampoos, conditioners, antiperspirants, paints, household cleaning agents, laundry detergent, or any host of other products, you are playing Russian Roulette with your health.

I realize that it takes a massive shift in thinking to realize that your body can heal itself, and that often drugs only hinder the process BUT don’t wait until you’re sick or slowing down to make healthy changes. Do them NOW, and leave thepath horrific drug side effects behind for good.

Follow the path drawn here,  and besides the benefit of great health you will get  a flatter stomach, strong lean muscles, younger looking skin, better digestion, more brain clarity, and you are set to live well until you die of old age.
